Church Point, LA:       Funeral Services will be held at a time to be determined by family for Harry J. Venable, 90. Mr. Venable, a native of Church Point, LA died Sunday evening, June 16 at Acadia-St. Landry Nursing and Rehab in Church Point.

Survivors include his sons, Ricky Venable of New Iberia, LA and Joey Venable of Rayne, LA; a brother, Albert Venable and wife Faye of Church Point; the mother of his children, Helen Carriere of Rayne and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berchman A. and Eula Jagneaux Venable; a brother, Dallas and wife Shirley Venable; a sister, Ivy Mae Bellard and husband Herman; a niece, Monica Bellard Briggs and two nephews, Richard "Dicky" Weaver and Brian Venable.

A carpenter and electrician for a number of years; Mr. Venable was a loving father, brother and uncle. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend a "Special Thank You" to the Acadia-St. Landry Nursing and Rehab staff and the nurses at Traditions Hospice for his excellent care.
