Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Gloria Martin, 78, the former Gloria Lyons. Mrs. Martin, a native of Church Point and one-time resident of New Orleans, La., died at 7:05 P.M. Monday, March 5 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include a brother, Willie Lyons and wife Hazel of Lumberton, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Mary S. Castille of Marrero, La.; her seven grandchildren: Christina Castille of Washington, La., Percy Castille III of Port Barre, La., Joshua Castille of Buras, La., Kenneth Castille of Kailua, Hawaii, and Clint, Matthew and Latanya Duplechain-all of Arnaudville, La.; her five great-grandchildren: Isaiah Schaaf, Jade and Jeighlen Pickney, Haley and Alex Castille and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Martin; her long-time companion, Wilbur Foreman; her parents, Joseph "Joe" and Amelia (Lejeune) Lyons; a son, Percy Castille, Jr. and three brothers, Johnny, Lenton and Jesse Lyons.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 2:00 P.M.
