Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Glinda H. Thibodeaux, 65, the former Glinda Marie Higginbotham. Mrs. Thibodeaux, a native of Church Point and a resident of rural St. Landry Parish near Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday night, February 8 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Rev. Father Mitchell Guidry, her nephew, will be the celebrant of the Mass and interment will be in the cemetery adjacent to the St. John Chapel in Lewisburg.

She is survived by her sons, Jeremy Higginbotham and wife Allison of Church Point and Jacob Thibodeaux of Rayne, LA; her mother, Yvonne Guidry Higginbotham of Church Point; her brothers, Rufus Higginbotham and wife Belinda and Clinton Higginbotham and wife Carolyn-all of Church Point; five grandchildren: Gage and Gavin Higginbotham and Lucas, Brooklyn and Collin Thibodeaux and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Thibodeaux; a son, Nicholas Thibodeaux; her father, Roosevelt Higginbotham; a sister, Mary H. Guidry and two brothers, Wayne and Terry Higginbotham.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM on Friday, February 11 and continue from 8:00 AM Saturday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 PM Friday by Father Guidry. A loving, hard-working, family-oriented wife, mother and grandmother; Mrs. Thibodeaux devoted herself to always being there when her parents and family needed her.
