Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Getty Gerard Daigle, 53. Mr. Daigle, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died on Sunday evening, May 27 at his residence. Father Austin Leger will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include three sons: Telly Daigle and wife Emily of Tucson, Ariz. and Cy Daigle and fiancee Janie Daigle and Getty Daigle II-all of Church Point; two daughters, Brooke Daigle and fiance Leighton Benoit of Broussard, La. and Nichole Jack and husband Quincy of Church Point; a brother, Carl Daigle and fiancee Stacey Doucet of Church Point, three sisters: Anna Venable of Church Point, Juanita Guillory of Parks, La. and Wanda Bott and husband Joe of Rayne, La. and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theophile and Winnie (Richard) Daigle; a brother, Aarol Daigle and Kay Daigle, mother of Brooke, Getty II and Nichole.

The family requested that visiting hours begin at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 30 and continue uninterrupted until the time of the services on Thursday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday.
