Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday September 26, 2007 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Gertie Mae Hanley , the former Gertie Mae David , who died at 3:15 P:M. on Monday September 24, 2007 at her residence in Church Point. She was a native of Church Point. Father Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services and interment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Corinne Hanley Cook; four sons: Michael Hanley and wife Sue, Christopher Hanley, Patrick Hanley and wife Sherrie and Timothy Hanley and wife Debbie; 31 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raphael and Louisiana Colligan David; her husband, Frank "Toony" Hanley; and her eldest son, Frank Lemoine Hanley.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday September 25, 2007 and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
A former school teacher, Mrs. Hanley was a graduate of Grand Coteau College and a Fine Arts school in Mexico. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, the Mother's Club, The Home Demonstration Club, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a member of the Louisiana Bottler's Association. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, cooking, weaving, sewing, and doll making.
Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. by Father DeBlanc.
