Church Point, LA:       Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mr. Gene Tony Hollier, 86, who passed away at 6:00 AM Friday, November 19 at his residence. Reverend Micah Collins, Pastor of Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church, will conduct the funeral services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Gene, a resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Elias Hollier and the former Hazel Young. He was known in the Church Point area as owner and operator of the Western Auto Store here in town. An avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish; Mr. Hollier was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his two sons, Marcus Hollier and Mitchell Hollier-both of Church Point; two daughters, Marsha Richard and husband Randy of Church Point and Monette Drouilhet and husband Jack of Lake Charles, LA; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Rita Gros of Metairie, LA and his companion, Linda Lopez of Church Point. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Fontenot Hollier; his parents and two sons, Michael "Mickey" Hollier and Merle D. Hollier, Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, November 21 from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 1:30 PM.
