Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Gary John Thibodeaux, 65. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native of Lawtell, LA and resident of Lafayette, LA, died Monday afternoon, February 2 at AMG Hospital in Lafayette. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of the Service. Deacon Byrne Winn, who will conduct the Service, will recite the Rosary at 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow the Service in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hwy 35, Church Point.

Survivors include his sisters, Merlie T. Myers and husband Luther of Lafayette, Brenda T. Andrepont of Church Point and Elaine T. Marks and husband Mickey of Lawtell; his brothers, Wayne Thibodeaux and wife Debra and Richard Thibodeaux and wife Nina-all of Opelousas-and Carl Thibodeaux of Lafayette and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Marie Miller Thibodeaux; a brother, Michael Thibodeaux and a brother-in-law, Juan Andrepont.

A rental car salesperson and a DJ for a number of years; Mr. Thibodeaux was a loving son and sibling. Truly loved, he will be missed by his extended family and all who knew him.
