Obituary

Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 26, 2022 at St. Edward Church in Richard, La for Gary Dale Daigle, 66. Mr. Daigle, a native and long-time resident of Acadia Parish near Richard, died Friday morning September 23 at his son's residence near Branch, LA. Father Korey LaVergne, pastor of the church, will conduct the services with interment at a later date in the cemetery adjacent to the church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lavergne Daigle of Richard; a son, Shawn Daigle of Branch; a daughter, Christy Daigle of Church Point, LA; a brother, Allen Daigle of Eunice, LA; his sisters, Angela McFarland and husband Andy of Church Point and Brenda Thibodeaux of Eunice and four grandchildren: Connor, Sydni and Talon Daigle and Krista Romero. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Eva Jeanise Daigle; his grandparents, Felix and Marie Jeanise and a daughter-in-law, Deanna Daigle.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 25 and continue from 9:00 AM until the time of the services on Monday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 PM Sunday by Lerlin LeJeune. Mr. Daigle was a welder in the oil industry and a member of the LA Cattlemen's Association for a number of years. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA (337) 684-5488.
