Church Point, LA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the St. John Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for John Frederick Thibodeaux, 67. Mr. Thibodeaux, a long-time resident of Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday evening, January 20 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Reverend Patrick Broussard, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy McMillan Thibodeaux of Lewisburg; four daughters: Callie Thibodeaux and companion Larry Primeaux of Lafayette; Ashley Jean and husband Marshall of Chicago, IL, Ciji Thibodeaux and companion B.J. Johnson and Heather Brasseaux and husband Adrian-all of Lewisburg; a sister, Judy Courville and husband Thomas of Basile, LA; his brothers: Pat Thibodeaux and wife Carol of Orange, TX, Wade Thibodeaux and wife Flo of Lawtell, LA, Oran Thibodeaux and wife Lynda of Sunset, LA, Frank Thibodeaux and wife Leisha of Patterson, LA, Mark "Zebe" Thibodeaux of Lewisburg and Ira "Bo" Thibodeaux and wife Kat of Prairie Rhonde, LA; his grandchildren: Kennedy, Jadith, Caiden, Avery, Liam, Aylee, Scarlett, Avin, Anniston and Harper and a "special" nephew, Lance McMillan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Laure Guilbeaux Thibodeaux and brothers, Alfred Thibodeaux, Jr. and Charles "Blue" Thibodeaux. A motorman in the oil and gas industry for a number of years, Fred was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was happiest when taking care of those he loved. A devout Catholic, he served as an usher at St. John Chapel and was a member of the Mary's Call prayer group. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM on Friday, January 22 and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 PM Friday by Rev. Broussard. Pallbearers will be Lance McMillan, Joel and Jacob Stanford and Jordan, Erik and David Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Caiden, Avery and Liam. Personal condolences may be sent to the family at
