Fred Arlin Marcantel, 59
Church Point, LA Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, Louisiana for Fred Arlin Marcantel, 59, who passed away on Friday, October 7 at his residence. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Cindy Borne Marcantel of Church Point, LA; one daughter, Carrie Barnett and husband Billy of Kinder, LA; two step daughters, Nichole Robinson of Sulphur, LA and Laura Boudreaux of Austin, TX; two sons, Justin Marcantel and wife of Mandy of Rayne, LA and Joshua Marcantel and wife Alexandra of Oberlin, LA; one step son, Jonathon Boudreaux and wife Gina of Houston, TX; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kay Palmer and husband Danny of Lake Charles, LA and Jackie Bowman and husband Leo of Iowa, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Oliver Marcantel and one daughter, Amanda Kay Marcantel.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Monday, October 10, 2016 and continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited Monday evening in the funeral home at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Marcantel was a truck driver and terminal manager in the trucking industry. He loved working, fishing, barbecuing, mechanic work, writing, playing his guitar and singing. His passion in life was his family, especially his wife, children, grandchildren and his three dogs, Te-Bet, Sammy and Cherie.
