Francis Thibodeaux, better known as Gale, passed away at 8:30 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the age of 67. He was born in Lewisburg, Louisiana on August 29, 1944 to Ignace and Eula (Beaugh) Thibodeaux who preceded him in death along with one brother and four sisters.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Cherlyn (Tuggy) Doucet Thibodeaux; his loving children, sons Chad Thibodeaux and wife Sonya and Ricky Thibodeaux and daughter Cherrelle Burkhalter and husband Dennis; his eight grandchildren: Brooke, Brittany, Michael, Dustin, Ashlyn, Ashley, Jayden and Jalyn and one great-granddaughter, Adalynn; his brothers, Havard and wife Leota, Ferdinand and wife Ruby and Kenneth and wife Norma and his sister Jean Jeanise and husband Larry.
Francis retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 41 years. A veteran of six years service with the 256th Engineer Company, Louisiana Army National Guard, he had a passion for sports and loved to play golf. He had a great love for his family, was a friend to many and will be dearly missed. All of us who were blessed in his presence were better people because of him. His life was shortened way too soon and he will always be a loving angel!
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La.; with a rosary at 4:00 P.M. Funeral services with be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 24 at St. Edmund Chapel, 8355 Branch Hwy, Branch, La. with interment in the Chapel Cemetery. "WE LOVE YOU!"
