Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Francis Charles Richard, 54. Mr. Richard, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died early Friday morning, July 6 at his residence. Father Stephen Ugwu will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Richard and wife Joyce of Scott, La. and Anthony Richard of Church Point; a brother-in-law, Charles Arabie of Rayne, La.; three nieces: Devon Arabie, Nickki Trahan and Tish Royer and eight great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ray and Dewilda (Higginbotham) Richard; a brother, Clinton Richard and two sisters, Lucy Richard and Patricia Arabie.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 7 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday by Deacon Bryne Winn. Pallbearers will be Dobie Royer, Kevin Forestier, Jr., Larry Angelle, Jr., Jude Higginbotham, Samuel Cormier and Brandon Arabie. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert and Anthony Richard and Charles and Tyler Arabie.
