Church Point, LA:   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 13, 2023 at St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Mr. Ferdie Paul Latiolais, 89, who passed away at 11:59 PM Thursday, November 9 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and burial will take place in St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel.

Ferdie, a life-long resident of Acadia Parish near Church Point and Lewisburg, was the son of the late Atinis Latiolais and the former Azalie Guidry. Mr. Latiolais, who owned and operated L&R Trucking Co., was a sweet potato farmer, packer and broker for a large portion of his life. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Ricky Latiolais of Lafayette, LA, Wade Latiolais of Youngsville, LA, Tommy Latiolais and wife Michelle of Church Point, Tyler Latiolais of Church Point, and Morgan Latiolais and wife Lauren of Church Point; his daughter, Gwen Boudreaux and husband Ronnie of Lewisburg; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Thelma T. Latiolais; his second wife, Yvonne D. Latiolais; two sisters, Lorraine Andrus and Claudia Cummings and three brothers, Herbert, Irvin and Louis Latiolais.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass.
