Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 8, 2011 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, La. for James Felton LeJeune, 61. Mr. LeJeune, a native and long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish near Branch, La., died at 5:50 P.M. Tuesday, July 5 at his residence. Father Wayne Duet will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edward Cemetery in Richard.

Survivors include his wife Sandra (Richard) LeJeune of Branch; two sons, Justin LeJeune and wife Mindi of Church Point and Troy LeJeune and wife Amber of Crowley, La.; three daughters: Jamie Gary and husband John and Lacey Lejeune-all of Branch and Lindsey Credeur and husband Robert of Rayne, La.; a brother, Herman LeJeune of Branch and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Lena (Thibodeaux) LeJeune; a brother and sister-in-law, Elgie LeJeune and Gurnice (Matte) LeJeune and his father and mother-in-law, Offord and Anna (Thibodeaux) Richard.
The family requested that visiting hours begin at 9:00 A.M. Thursday, July 7 and continue uninterrupted until the time of the services on Friday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday by Deacon Jim Cormier.
Pallbearers will be Troy and Justin LeJeune, John Gary, Daniel Noel, Robert Credeur and Bryan Roy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack, Herman and Luke LeJeune.
An accomplished musician and member of the Lake Charles chapter of the CFMA, Mr. LeJeune and his band "The Cajun Cowboys" were well-known to fans of Cajun Music. Known to many for his strong faith, strength and courage; he loved his family, loved to cook and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. A U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War with an eighteen month tour in-country, Mr. Lejeune will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the time of services.
