Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Felix Clavier, Jr., 86. Mr. Clavier, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died early Wednesday morning at his residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery north of Church Point.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Mary Lee Matte Clavier of Church Point; a son, Roger Clavier and wife Cheryl of Church Point; two brothers, Dewey Clavier and wife Evelyn and Kermit Clavier and wife Maxie-all of Eunice, La.; three grandchildren: Joshua Paul, Tyler James and Alyssa Paige Clavier and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Clavier, Sr. and Theophine Richard Clavier; a son, Kenneth James Clavier and a daughter, Alice Faye Clavier.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 8 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Thursday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
A retired gasoline transport driver for Distributor Oil, Mr. Clavier was a member of Mary's Rosary Group of Church Point.
