Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, February 27, 2026 at the St. John Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Fabiola "Fab" Tweedel, 85, the former Fabiola Bourgeois. Mrs. Tweedel, a native and resident of Lewisburg, LA, died Tuesday morning, February 24 at her residence. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, February 26 and continue from 8:00 AM Friday until the time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Thursday by Oran Thibodeaux. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Chapel, will conduct the Services with Interment immediately following in the St. John Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Erik, David and Matthew Thibodeaux; Sam, Dylan and Nick Lyons.

Survivors include her daughters, Lynda Thibodeaux and husband Oran of Sunset, LA and Cherie Tweedel Lyons and husband Tim of Lewisburg; her grandchildren: Erik, David and Matthew Thibodeaux, Abigail Lyn Lavergne and Nick, Sam, Annie, Makara and Dylan Lyons; her great-grandchildren: Harley Baudoin, Ryker Citrano and Emily Kate and Toran Thibodeaux; her sisters, Nellie Soileau of Pine Prairie, LA and Nelda Fisher of Opelousas, LA and a brother, Charles Bourgeois and wife Patsy of Opelousas. She was preceded in death by her husband Russel Tweedel; her parents, Joseph Ned and Virgie Guidry Bourgeois; her sons, Damien Lavergne and Joseph Matthew Tweedel and a granddaughter, Emily Thibodeaux.

A self-employed beautician for a number of years; Mrs. Tweedel was a hard-working, devout and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by her extended family and all who knew her.
