Church Point, LA:       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Mrs. Evangeline Ann Thibodeaux, 88, who passed away Friday morning, May 14 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles, LA. Rev. Wayne Duet, Pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct committal services in St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.

Evangeline, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late George Arceneaux and the former Corine Guidry. She is survived by one son, Andrew D. Thibodeaux of Sulphur, LA; one daughter, Patricia Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA: five grandchildren, Matthew Pitre, Alexis Faucheux, Vincent Pitre, Ashley Thibodeaux and Abbey Thibodeaux and one sister, Yvonne Guidry of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lawrence A. Thibodeaux; her parents; one sister, Laurentine Fontenot and three brothers, Ferdie, Steve and Earl Arceneaux. Mrs. Thibodeaux, a teacher's aide for a number of years, was loved and will be missed by her extended family and friends.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, May 17 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 11:45 AM Monday prior to leaving for the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the cost of expenses.
