Church Point, LA:       Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Esther L. Savoy, 93, the former Esther LeDoux. Mrs. Savoy, a long-time resident of the Lawtell area, died Sunday morning, March 31 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Father Austin Leger will conduct the services with interment following in the cemetery adjacent to the church.

Survivors include her sons: Clarence Savoy and wife Glenda, Emery Savoy and wife Linda, Mervin Savoy and companion Theresa, Gervais Savoy and wife Cathy and Jimmy Savoy and wife Jackie-all of Lawtell; a daughter, Judy Neucere and husband Ellis of Abbeville, LA; two sisters, Ella Mae Cormier and husband George of Church Point and Bernice Benoit and husband Carroll of Eunice, LA; fifteen grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Alice Picard LeDoux; her husband, Joseph "J.C." Savoy and a granddaughter, Emily Savoy. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday, April 1 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Monday by Father Leger. A devout Catholic who prayed the rosary fervently, Mrs. Savoy loved her family and garden.
