Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Esamay Elkins Lagrange, 88, the former Esamay Labbie. Mrs. Lagrange, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Monday morning, August 1at Grace Rehab Hospital in Slaughter, LA where she was currently residing. Pastor Berl Adams will conduct the services with interment following in the First Baptist Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Elkins and daughter-in-law, Sandra B. Elkins; a grandson, Troy Elkins (her love of her life); two great-granddaughters, Meghan and Ashleigh Elkins; her sisters, Amy Jeanise, Eldine LeJeune, Jeanie Odom, Betty Tarkington and Charlene Pastorchik and two brothers, Houston and Charles Labbie.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Elkins; her second husband, Samuel Lagrange; her parents, Leus Labbie and Lowena Miller Labbie, a sister, Lena Labbie and a brother, Livingston Labbie.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 2 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services.
Pallbearers will be Keith, Gary, Nicholas and Gary Lynn Lejeune; Richard Jagneaux and Ronald Elkins.
