Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Elvin Richard, 68. Mr. Richard, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Saturday morning, June 13 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, La. Pastor Woody Gunnels will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Mary LeDoux Richard of Church Point; a son, Kirt Richard and wife Raquel of Church Point; two daughters, Pam LeJeune and husband Andrew and April LaFleur of Church Point; a brother, Aurel Richard and wife Mardi of San Diego, Ca. and his grandchildren, Allison LeJeune, Lane and Nick Richard and Joelee LaFleur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evans and Clothile Matte Richard; a brother, Herbert Richard and two grandchildren, Kanon and Katie LeJeune.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, June 15 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. Joining the Church Point Volunteer Fire Department in 1978, Mr. Richard became a Life Member of the Department. He was truly loved by his family.
