Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Elvin Elkins, 84, the former Charlene Marie Guillory. Mrs. Elkins, a native of Oberlin, LA and long-time resident of Church Point, died Wednesday morning, June 15 at her daughter's residence in Rayne, LA. Pastor Melvin Finley of the Assembly of God in Rayne will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include a son, Gary Elkins of Church Point; a daughter, Brenda Richard and husband Jim of Rayne; four grandchildren; Amy Robinson, Rachelle and Laurie Richard and Jonathan Elkins and five great-grandchildren: Christian, Cameron, Taylor, Hailey and Molly Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Elkins and her parents, Zelian and Ena Vidrine Guillory.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, June 17 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.
