Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Guidry Funeral Home; Church Point, La. for Eloi Bourque, 76, a resident of Church Point and a native of Lewisburg, La. Mr. Bourque died at 12:30 A.M. Friday, April 3, 2009 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in Monsignor C.A. Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his companion, Anna Mae Fontenot of Church Point, La.; one son, Larry Bourque and wife Danita of Eunice, La. and three daughters: Linda Dupre & husband Darrel and Claudia Balfa & husband Kenneth-all of Ville Platte and Clara Smith & husband Donald of Erath, La. He is also survived by two sisters: Theresa Elkins of Church Point, La. and Josephine Ardoin of Ville Platte, La.; ten grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Baptiste Bourque and Clothilde Riviere Bourque.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, April 5 and continue Monday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday.
