Branch, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Edmund Catholic Church; Branch, La. for Ella Mae O'Pry Doucet, 93, the former Ella Mae O'Pry. Mrs. Doucet, a long-time resident of Branch, died at 7:35 A.M. Thursday, February 18 at the American Legion Hospital; Crowley, La. Father Kevin Bordelon will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edmund Cemetery in Branch.
Survivors include a son, James Roger Doucet and wife Annette of Maurice, La.; a daughter, Norma Daigle and husband Johnny of Branch; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duprey Doucet; two brothers, Vurnice and Billy O'Pry and a sister, Carrie O'Pry Matte.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Fr. Bordelon.
Mrs. Doucet was a member of the St. Edmund Ladies Altar Society for many years.
