Church Point, LA:   A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Guidry Funeral Home, Church Point, LA, for Eldine (Margaret) Jeffers, age 96, who passed away in the very early hours of Friday, February 7 in Angleton, TX. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the Service and Interment will immediately follow at the Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery, Branch, LA.

Survivors include a son, Michael Jeffers and wife, Susan of Angleton; a daughter, Donna Hazelwood and husband, Gerald of Columbus, NC; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jeffers of Lake Jackson, TX; 2 sisters-in-law, Amanda Doucet of Gramercy, LA and Mary Doucet of Church Point; 7 grandchildren: Christopher Jeffers of Sulphur, LA, Kimbrie Hamilton and husband, Jarrett of Angleton, Paul Jeffers and wife, Sara of Sulphur, Kellie Garden and husband, Brent of Fredericksburg, TX, Alison Sipma and husband, Marcel of Bath, England, UK, Robert "Rob" Hazelwood and wife, Samantha of Tryon, NC and Sara Ball and husband, Alex of Cornelia, GA; 13 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Kayla, Carlie, Caleb, Kelsea, Kyle, Audrey, Isaac, Charlie, Sophie, Stella, Aubrey and Catherine Eldine and 4 great-great-grandchildren: Ella, Cooper, Levi and Rowyn. Survivors also include many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Mrs. Eldine Jeffers was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. "Bobby" Jeffers of Branch and Church Point; her parents, Noah and Elvina Doucet of Church Point; parents-in-law, Leslie and Ottie Jeffers of Branch; a son, Roderick C. "Rick/Rod" Jeffers of Freeport, TX, her brothers: Lloyd and wife, Melba Doucet of Lockport, LA, Alvin Doucet of Gramercy, LA and Carol Doucet of Church Point and her brothers-in-law,Donavan "Don" Jeffers and wife, Lillian of Luling, LA and Rodney Jeffers and wife, Geraldine "Gerry" Jeffers of Jennings. LA.

A special thank you is extended to the caregiving ladies at Country Village Care in Angleton, TX for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Jeffers over the past several years and during her final days of life.
