Church Point, LA:       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Elaine Richard, 80, who passed away at 11:40 PM Sunday, December 10, at Encore Healthcare in Crowley, LA. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the Burial Rite in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.

Elaine, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of John Richard and the former Amy Landry. She is survived by one daughter, Norma Quibodeaux of Church Point; one son, Jeff Quibodeaux of Church Point; five grandchildren: Jacque Quibodeaux, Donnie Olivier, Jeanea Mouton and Ashley and Alesha Quibodeaux; eight great grandchildren: Kylie and Jack Olivier, Cameron and Logan Mouton, Brightyn, Bentley and Aspen Olivier and Alayah Handy; three sisters, Cynthia Savoie of Rayne, Helen Wimberly of Krotz Springs and Kathleen Peters of Eunice and one brother, Jimmy Richard of Church Point. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Russell Quibodeaux; her daughter, Sandra "Cookie" Olivier; her son, John "Bubba" Quibodeaux; her son-in-law, Deano Olivier and her grandson, Joseph Olivier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 12, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 12:15 prior to leaving for Church.
