Church Point, LA:    Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Ms. Elaine Marie Nation, 75, who passed away at 8:20 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at The Ellington in Rayne, LA.

Elaine, a native of Church Point and a resident of Iowa, LA, was the daughter of the late Ferdie Lyons and the former Louisiana Higginbotham. Elaine, a seamstress throughout her life, was a loving mother and grandparent. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Miles of Church Point, Kristi Kisslak and husband Jay of Port Matilda, PA and Trisha Landreneau of Iowa; three sons, Brad Nation and wife Tammy of Indian Bayou, LA, Steve Nation and wife Cathy of Branch, LA and Bryon Nation of Iowa; twenty-four grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eloise David of Rayne, LA, Norma Burleigh of Ragley, LA and Debbie Mohajer of Houston, TX and two brothers, Kenneth Lyons of Church Point and Dwaine Lyons of Lake Charles, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gloria Wimberly.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29 from 10:00 AM until the time of memorial services.
