Church Point, LA:       Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Sept 27, 2023 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Edith W. "Yoss" Trahan, 79, the former Edith Marie Winn. Ms. Trahan, a resident of Acadia Parish near Branch, LA, died Monday morning, September 25 at her daughter's residence. Pastor Micah Collins will conduct the services with interment following in the Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Cemetery south of Branch.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Bergeron and husband Dale of Higginbotham, LA; her grandchildren, Jessica Bergeron of Richmond, TX and Sarah Mire and husband Sladen of Scott, LA; her great-grandchildren: Kairi and Mia Smith, Duncan Mire and Mary Jane LeBlanc and two brothers, Nelson Winn and wife Peggy of Crowley, LA and Larry Winn of Rayne, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Courville Winn; a sister, Thelma Shreve and a sister-in-law, Malinda Winn.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, September 26 and continue from 8:00 AM Wednesday until the time of services.

A cashier at "Buddy's" at the "4-Way" in Branch for 17 years; Ms. Trahan was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to sew clothing and quilts. She was famous for her baked pies and homemade bread. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N.
