Church Point, LA:         A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Eddie Joseph Mire, 54. Mr. Mire, a long-time resident of Church Point, passed away on Sunday, June 21 at his residence. Pastor Dennis Gotreaux of Freedom Life Church of Eunice will conduct the services and his family will determine disposition.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Richard Mire of Church Point, LA; his sons: Scotty Mire and wife Jenna, Tanis Joseph Mire, Hayden Mire, Brian Higginbotham and Randy Viator-all of Church Point; his daughters, Alicia Guidry and husband Jonathon of Mire, LA; Kelsey Mire of Lafayette, LA and Mia Higginbotham of Church Point; a sister, Marilyn LeJeune and husband Tyler of Richard, LA and his grandchildren: Madisyn, Aiden, and Cullen Mire; Landon, Konner and Izabella Guidry; Acen Mire and Braxson Higginbotham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burleigh and Evelyn Fruge Mire. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of services. A heavy equipment operator in the construction industry for a number of years, Mr. Mire was loved and will be missed by his extended family and friends.
