Church Point, La. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Guidry Funeral Home for Eddie Bourque, Jr., 74, who passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:15 am at his residence in Branch, LA.

Burial will take place in St. Edmond Cemetery adjacent to the Church in Branch.

Mr. Bourque was the son of the late Eddie Bourque, Sr. and the former Georgette Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Cassie O. Bourque of Lake Charles, LA; three daughters, Vickie Denise Lanier and husband Ed of Houston, TX, Carrie Ann Higginbotham and husband Joey of Branch, LA and Roxanne Morgan and husband Jeff of Grand Lake, LA; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Nita Smith of Lake Charles, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mabel Trahan.
Eddie was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam Era. After his seven years in the United States Marine Corps, he was a longshoreman in the Port of Lake Charles for 17 years. Mr. Bourque worked for Benton Casing Service from 1976 to 1991. After working for Benton Casing Service for 15 years, he moved to Quality Pre Heat from 1991 until his retirement in 2008.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Friday evening at 7:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Higginbotham, Steve Sittig, Patrick Vincent, Karol Smith, Rodney Trahan and Dennis Sonnier.
