Church Point, LA:     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Eby Leger, 89, who passed away at 9:25 AM on Thursday, October 24 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home. Pere David Rozas, Associate Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and burial will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice, LA.
Eby, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Mr. Eluce Leger and the former Lillia Doucet. He is survived by his two sons, Calvin Leger and wife Pauline of Lafayette, LA and Rickey Leger and wife Kelly of Carencro, LA; four grandchildren: Corey Leger, Nicole Michaud and husband "DJ", Jennifer Leger and Eric Leger and wife Lindsey; two great-grandchildren, Kole Hartdegen and Owen Leger and two sisters, Lee Anna Leger Ledoux and Leocarlie Leger Young. He was preceded in death by his wife, Versie Godeau Leger, his parents and his brothers: Ivey Leger, Preston Leger and Horace Leger..
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, October 28 from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
