Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Mire, La. for Mrs. Earlie "Ky" (Elvina) Meche, 93, the former Elvina Boudreaux. Mrs. Meche, a native of Bristol, La. and long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish, died at 7:40 A.M. Wednesday, March 2 at her residence. Monsignor Russell Harrington will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum in Mire.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita Meche of Lafayette, La. and Mary Lou Bellard and husband Randy of Higginbotham, La.; her "adopted family"-Raymond Lavergne, wife Cecilia and their three children; her grandchildren: Marty Bellard and wife Keysha and Piper Benoit and husband John and her great-grandchildren: Barron and McKenzi Bellard and Mollie Benoit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie "Ky" Meche and her sons, Norwood and Weston Meche.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10;00 P.M. on Thursday, March 3 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Mrs. Meche was a long-time member of the Ladies Altar Society in Mire.
