Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 24, 2008 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point for Mrs. Drusella Bourgeois, 87, the former Drusella LeBleu, who died at 6:20 P.M. Thursday, March 20 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital, Church Point. She was a native and life-long resident of Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Church Point.

Survivors include four sons: Anthony Bourgeois and wife Connie and James Bourgeois and wife Elizabeth- all of Church Point; Walter Bourgeois and wife Joy of Denham Springs, La. And Mike Bourgeois and wife Gena of Singapore; six daughters: Gabriella Miller and husband Ronald, Judy Thibodeaux and husband Gregg, Estelle Wimberly and husband Bill and Gwendolyn Leger- all of Church Point; Gerry Daigle and husband Donald of Baton Rouge, La. and Madeline Duncan and husband Mike of Picayune, Ms.; a daughter-in-law, Janelle Bourgeois of Richard, La. and a son-in-law, Pat Matte of Church Point. She is also survived by 55 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Bourgeois; a son, Larry Bourgeois; a daughter, Louella B. Matte and an infant, John Dale Bourgeois.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 23 and continue from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Monday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
