Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Dorothy Leckelt, 68, the former Dorothy Leger. Mrs. Leckelt, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died early Wednesday morning, March 18 at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include a son, Leon Lavergne of Church Point; a daughter, Tammy Guillory and husband Charlie of Richard, La.; a sister, Eura Miller of Westlake, La. and four grandchildren: Shenea Edwards, Dustin Guillory, Dylan Lavergne and Alex Richard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Leckelt and her parents, Dennis and Edna Doucet Leger.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 8:00 P.M. Thursday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
