Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. June 6, 2008 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Dorothy "Dot" Gautreaux,73, the former Dorothy Bergeron, who died at 5:18 A.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Lafayette General Hospital; Lafayette, La. She was a resident of Opelousas, La. Father Blair Lope Sabaricos will conduct the services with interment following in the Bellevue Memorial Cemetery; Opelousas, La.
Survivors include a son, Carlos Saucier and wife Sandra of Cankton, La.; a daughter, Darcus Goodwin of Cankton; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Gautreaux; two sons: Randy Saucier and John Dell Saucier; a grandson, Chas Michael Saucier and her parents, Dudley and Alice Sonnier Bergeron.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 5 and continue from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Friday.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
