Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at St. John Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg, La. for Don Perry Johnson, 61. Mr. Johnson, a native of Palmetto, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, December 23 in Pointe Coupee Parish. Msgr. Keith Derouen will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the church.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Ann Daigle Johnson of Church Point; a son, Don Paul Johnson and companion Leslie Holden of Marlow, Ok.; a daughter, Brandi Elizabeth Richardson and husband James C. Richardson of Church Point; a brother, Dan Johnson of Port Barre, La. and his grandchildren: Scott Michael, Jacob, Andrew and Blake Richardson and Harper Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Betty (Bihm) Johnson and a sister, Charlotte Coulon.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the services on Thursday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 1:00 P.M. by Deacon Jim Cormier.
