Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2009 at Guidry Funeral Home for Dirk A. Olivier, 45. Mr. Olivier, a native of Church Point and resident of Alexandria, La., died at 3:00 A.M. Thursday, May 14 at his residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum; Highway 35, Church Point.
Survivors include his wife and stepsons, Erica Howard Olivier and Kel and Mark Howard of Alexandria; his parents, Huey and Nell Bergeron Olivier of Church Point; a daughter, Tiffany Renee Olivier Elkins of Eunice, La.; a brother and a sister, Darby and Rocelle Olivier, both of Church Point and a granddaughter, Raegan Elkins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dirk A. Olivier II and a brother, Randy Olivier.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, May17 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday.
Mr. Olivier was employed by Abe's Towing; New Orleans, La.
