Church Point, LA:     In the interests of public safety and regard for our families' feelings, a private graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point, LA for Desiree "Desi" Higginbotham, 66, the former Desiree Marie Thibodeaux. Ms. Higginbotham, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Friday afternoon, April 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Deacon Bryne Winn will conduct the service with entombment immediately following.

Survivors include a daughter, Heather Higginbotham and fiancé Nathaniel Guidry of Church Point; a brother, Louis Thibodeaux of Church Point; a sister, Liz Thibodeaux Savoy of Church Point; her grandchildren: Colby Thibodeaux; Lucas, Logan and Matthew Lyons and Gianna Higginbotham and a great-grandchild, Kamber Thibodeaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Marie Jones Thibodeaux; a brother, Rhett Thibodeaux; a sister, Celeste Thibodeaux and a son, Jiles Higginbotham.
