Church Point, La.
A Memorial Service will be held at a date and time to be determined by family for Denise Johnson, 59, the former Denise Ann Lyons. Mrs. Johnson, a native and long-time resident of Church Point and rural Acadia Parish, died Wednesday morning, April 29 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Johnson of Church Point; a brother, Bruce Lyons and wife Patty of Scott, La.; a sister, Tina Owens and husband Mike of Alexandria, La. and a nephew, Andrew Antley of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levoreil and Vivian Pitre Lyons.
A respected hunting dog trainer and member of the Cajun Hunting and Retriever Club for a number of years, Mrs. Johnson competed and judged in dog trials on the local to national level.
