Church Point     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Deanna Thibodeaux Guidry, 55, who passed away on February 8, 2018 at her home in Church Point, La.
Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will be the celebrant of the Mass.
Burial will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy. 35 in Church Point.
Deanna was the daughter of Delton Thibodeaux and the late Verlie Savoy Thibodeaux. She was a rural carrier for the Church Point Post office for eighteen years. She loved her family, camping, baking cakes and crocheting. Deanna was a member of the Church Point Pokeno group and loved the Saints and Alabama Crimson Tide. Her grandchildren were her life.
She is survived by her father, Delton Thibodeaux of Church Point, La.; her husband Keevin Guidry of Church Point, La.; one son, Jarachin Jerry Guidry and spouse Amanda of Branch, La.; two daughters, Kateri Bertrand and spouse Damian of Branch, La. and Shelbi Wheeler and spouse Olanda "Big O." of Church Point, La.; one brother, Damien Thibodeaux of Church Point, La.; eight grandchildren, Tytan, Emma and Blaise Guidry, Drake, Drewe and Kassidee Bertrand, Jedediah and Declan Wheeler; one aunt Emmanine Meche of Church Point, La; and her beloved Golden Doodle, Griffy.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Verlie Savoy Thibodeaux; one brother, Keith Thibodeaux; and one uncle Eurell Meche.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on February 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening in the funeral home and at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening by Msgr. Jefferson Deblanc in the funeral home.
