Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Dave Edward "Dooney" Sattler, Jr., 76. Mr. Sattler, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 1:20 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Leger of Church Point and David Sattler and wife Jill of Dalton, Ga.; three daughters, Linda Joubert and husband Donald and Sarah Olivier and husband Shane-all of Church Point and Alana Cormier of Crowley, La.; three step-daughters, Annette Cormier and husband Scott, Nadine Matte and husband Kenneth and Sharon Lanclos and husband Byron-all of Church Point; three sisters; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Sattler; a step-daughter, Angie Matte; a granddaughter, Chasity Guidry; a grandson, Dirk Olivier II; a great-grandson, Zack Lavergne; two brothers, John and Foster Sattler and his parents, Dave Edward Sattler, Sr. and Beulah Wright Sattler.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M. by Monsignor DeBlanc.
