Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Darrell Dale Bourque, 56. Mr. Bourque, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of rural St. Landry Parish near Washington, LA, died Wednesday evening, February 28 at The St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment on a date to be determined by family. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Moran Bourque of Washington; a son, Derek Bourque of Washington; a daughter, Skylar Angona and husband Jarran of Krotz Springs, LA; two grandchildren, Owen and Ava Angona; a sister, Joy Daigle and husband Pat of Church Point; two nephews, Colby Bourque (his godson) and Kyle Daigle and a niece, Amy Vige (his Goddaughter). He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ozema and Isabelle Doucet Bourque; a brother, Mark Bourque and a grandson, Evan Angona. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, March 2 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Friday by Monsignor Deblanc. Pallbearers will be Derek and Colby Bourque, Kyle Daigle, Corey Vige, Jarran Angona and Ryan Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Daigle and Lemont Doucet. Mr. Bourque loved to cook and to ride his Harley on "Poker Runs" and for the sheer pleasure of it. He had a "Heart of Gold" and loved his family and friends.
