Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Damon Paul Cormier, 30. Mr. Cormier, a native of rural Acadia Parish and currently a resident of Duson, La., died Tuesday morning at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in a family mausoleum in the St. John's Cemetery in Lewisburg, La.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Arlene Poche Cormier of Scott, La.; his maternal grandmother, Eve Poche of St. Amant, La.; his fiancée, Tanna Credeur of Duson; a son, Blaze Aube and two daughters, Rhylee and Kamron Aube-all of Duson; a brother, Brandon Michael Cormier of Rayne, La.; a godchild, Kameron Cormier of Scott and a very good friend, Jancy St. Amand of Church Point.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Saturday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 1:30 P.M. by Monsignor DeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Brandon Cormier, Cody Credeur, Scotty Nero, Jeremy Comeaux, Thomas Pellissier, Tyler Doucet, Larry Isadore and Alan Poche with Kameron Ty Cormier as honorary Pallbearer.
A hard worker and devoted to his family and serving as a firefighter, Mr. Cormier will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony for his service to his community.
