Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Dale Francis Thibodeaux, 56. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Saturday morning, February 25 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point. Survivors include his mother, Juanita Thibodeaux; a sister-in-law, Becky Thibodeaux; a brother, Shannon Thibodeaux and wife Tammy and a sister, Connie Thibodeaux. They are all residents of Church Point. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thibodeaux and a brother, Keith Thibodeaux. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, February 27 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. by Monsignor DeBlanc. Mr. Thibodeaux was a pipefitter in the offshore oil industry for a number of years.
