Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Clyde Richard Pugh, Sr., 75. Mr. Pugh, a native of Shreveport, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died Saturday morning, December 12 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, La. Pastor Berl Adams of First Baptist Church will conduct the services with interment following in the First Baptist Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Cammie Elkins of Church Point; three sons, Kevin Pugh and wife Carolyn of Sunset, La. and Clyde Richard Pugh, Jr. and wife Stella and Rodney Wayne Pugh-all of Shelby, N.C.; a daughter, Tonya Hidalgo and husband Michael of Opelousas; a brother, George Pugh, Jr. and wife Gracie Mae of Shreveport; a sister, Lavergne Mayes of Shreveport; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Carol Pugh; his parents, George and Mattie Price Pugh; three sisters and three brothers.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday, December 14 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. Pallbearers will be Kevin, Richard and Jonathan Pugh; Michael, Christopher and Jacob Hidalgo.
Mr. Pugh was a diesel mechanic for all of his working life and he loved his work.
