Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Mrs. Charles Labbe, 55, the former Diana Lynn Thibodeaux. Mrs. Labbe, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 6:00 A.M. Monday, March 1 at Opelousas General Hospital; Opelousas, La. Father Gregory Chauvin will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery; Lewisburg, La.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Labbe of Church Point; a son, Simon Labbe of Church Point; four daughters: Leslie Chandler and husband Chris of Conifer, Co.; Elizabeth Roberie and husband Joey and Rachel Labbe and her companion Jonathan Broussard-all of Church Point and Carmen Bourque and husband Carol of Opelousas; her mother, Helen Bergeron of Church Point; two brothers, Ronald Thibodeaux and wife Linda and Keith Thibodeaux and wife Donna all of Church Point; a sister, Sandra Thibodeaux and husband Eddie of Church Point and her godmother, Bernella Thibodeaux. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Lauren and Tori Chandler, Juliette, Audria Claire and Isabella Roberie, Jarrod Labbe and Eric, Leif and Lexi Alleman.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kurtney Thibodeaux; a brother, Kurt Thibodeaux and her godfather, Leander Thibodeaux.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 2 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday by Deacon Jim Cormier.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Labbe worked at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital for some twenty-five years and had attained the position of Assistant Director of Nurses.
