Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Charlene Ann "Charlie" Fontenot, 75. Ms. Fontenot, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Tuesday morning, November 22. Rev. Father Brian Harrington, pastor of the church, will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include a sister, Corinne Domingue and husband William "Billy" Domingue of Rayne, LA; an aunt, Yvonne Arceneaux Guidry of Lafayette, LA; a nephew, Ivan Domingue and wife Shelley of Sulphur, LA; two nieces, Sheila LeBlanc and husband Travis "Buddy" LeBlanc of Indian Bayou, LA and Nicole Domingue of Lafayette; 8 great nephews: Ian LeBlanc and wife Kamyren, Trevor Domingue and wife Anna, Luke LeBlanc and wife Katherine, Noah LeBlanc and wife Camille, Cade Domingue and Zachary, Nathan and Owen LeBlanc; 3 great-great nephews, Wesley and Preston Domingue and Elliott LeBlanc; a great-great niece, Leah LeBlanc; and 6 Godchildren: Angela Carriere, Ivan Domingue, Leigh Carriere Karge, Neely Arceneaux Hahnel, Michelle Comeaux Sullivan and Lauren Bellard Signorelli. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Marie Laurentine Arceneaux Fontenot.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 25 and continue from 8:00 AM Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 10:00 AM Saturday by Deacon Byrne Winn.

An employee of JE Daigle and Sons for many years and a teacher's aide at Richard Elementary and Church Point Elementary for 35 years; Ms. Fontenot loved cooking and baking and was devoted to the children in her life.
