Church Point, LA:        A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Cecil Blake Higginbotham, 58, who passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his residence in Church Point.

Cecil was a carpenter who worked in Afghanistan during the current war as a private contractor for a number of years. A very private person, he loved fishing and his dogs. He will be missed by his extended family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Hidalgo and her husband Byron of Lafayette, LA; three brothers, Mitch Higginbotham and wife Amy of Youngsville, LA, Clark Higginbotham of Wichita Falls, TX and Paul Higginbotham and wife Lana of Port Barre, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Irby Higginbotham and Coralee Jeanise Higginbotham.
