Church Point, LA:     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 30, 2020 at Point Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Carl Randel Serrin, 67, who passed away at 6:57 AM Wednesday, November 25 at his residence. Bishop Rick Pavlu, Lead Pastor Jared Pavlu and Executive Pastor Rick Hardwick will officiate at the service and at the committal in the First Baptist Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Randel, a life-long resident of Church Point, Louisiana was the son of the late John Raymond Serrin and the former Ruby Brasseaux. Employed in the oil and gas industry all his life, he loved to travel, fish, cook and watch LSU and Saints football. Randel always "went with the flow".
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Brasseaux Orsborn of Church Point; his sons, Dustin Serrin of Church Point, Caleb Labbie and fiancee Hailey Romero of Branch, LA and Cade Labbie and wife Paige of Sulphur, LA; a daughter, Carley Serrin of Church Point; his grandsons, Brock and Brody Serrin of Church Point and a special caregiver to the grandsons, Tonya Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his father, John Raymond Serrin; his wife, Veda Serrin; his son, Ryan Serrin; his maternal grandparents, John Batiste Brasseaux and Leticia Boudreaux Brasseaux and a special uncle who was like a brother to him, Earnest Brasseaux. Pallbearers will be Dustin Serrin, Caleb Labbie, Cade Labbie, Aaron Lyons, Terrell Latiolais and Douglas Walters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Point Church on Sunday, November 29 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continue on Monday at church from 9:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 2:00 PM.
