Church Point, LA Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mr. Carl Webster Guidry, 70, who passed away at 3:54 AM Sunday, August 20 in Jena, LA. Rev. Greg Gaspard, Pastor of Unity Baptist Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Carl, a resident of Duson, was the son of the late Willie Guidry and the former Edith Reviere.
He is survived by one daughter, Kelly G. Leger and husband Rickey of Carencro, LA; two sons, Clint Guidry and companion Carl Andrews of Olney, TX and Jason Guidry and Companion Anna Reis of Duson, LA; his former wife, Brenda Dupre of Opelousas, LA; 7 grandchildren, Zachary Prejean, Kathryn Leger, Eric Leger and wife Lindsey, Jennifer Leger, Jameson Guidry, Analyce Guidry and Durgen Cervantes; 2 great grandchildren, Kole Hartdegen and Owen Leger; 4 sisters, Audrey Rushing, Geneva Guidry, Elizabeth Guidry and Kathy Richard and husband Ronald; five brothers, Charles 'Chuck' Guidry, Willie Ray Guidry, Ronald Guidry, Dennis Guidry and Berton Guidry and wife Kim. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Madeline Guidry Derouen and one brother, Merlin Guidry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 2:00 PM. Visitation will continue after the funeral services until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Guidry's name to a charity of your choosing.
