Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Carl Anthony Bourgeois, 71. Mr. Bourgeois, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 5:35 A.M. Wednesday, May 14 at his residence. Brother Sam Lambert will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn M. Bourgeois of Church Point; two daughters, Tammy Bourgeois Gaines and husband Thomas of Slidell, La. and Cherie Bourgeois Randolph and husband Gregory of Scott, La.; two sons, Tony Bourgeois and wife Leah Patin Bourgeois of Lafayette, La. and Michael Bourgeois and wife Erica of Breaux Bridge, La.; a sister, Janice Murray of Church Point; four brothers: Terrel Bourgeois of North Carolina, Grady Bourgeois of Carencro, La., Peter Bourgeois of Lafayette and Brian Bourgeois of Youngsville, La.; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. and Eola Jeanis Bourgeois and two brothers, Mitchell Bourgeois and Malcolm Bourgeois.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, May16 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. Pallbearers will be Tony, Michael, Terrel, Grady, Peter and Brian Bourgeois.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Mike Williams, Dr. Syed Fazal and Hospice Compassus for their compassionate care during Mr. Bourgeois' illness.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War, Mr. Bourgeois will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the time of services.
